Blessed Assurance
An uplifting, gospel-inspired advanced piano hymn arrangement of "Blessed Assurance" as heard on Raluca's "Hymns, vol. 1" album (2021). The meter is different from the hymnal version; traditionally this hymn is sung in 9/8 but in this piano arrangement I changed it to 12/8 to add more room for harmonic responses (think: "Blessed assurance... pam pam pam... Jesus is mine! pam pam pam pam). The first verse is played in the middle register and then the second verse is transfered over to a higher register. The final chorus resumes the middle register for a strong, uplifting ending. Suitable for church prelude, offertory or postlude any time of the year.
