This piano arrangement combines the beautiful hymn tune Hyfrydol with Mozart’s gentle theme from Sonata in A Major, K. 331. The arrangement begins with a presentation of Mozart's theme and then in measure 9 you will hear the Hyfrydol tune performed in a Mozart manner; in other words, I used the same texture found in the sonata, with the left hand bass line mirroring the right hand melody while the inner voices play a repeated note. Later on you will hear Hyfrydol again but this time with broken triplet chords in the left hand, which were very common in the late eighteenth century. Be sure to play these with a very light wrist and emphasize the first note of each group for that beautiful classical effect! This arrangement is a perfect church prelude performance as it quiets down the hearts of the congregants in preparation for worship, but of course you can also use it as an offertory or a postlude. This Hyfrydol melody goes by a number of titles in our hymnals, which means you can play it any Sunday of the year, not just during the Advent season. Simply change the title in the bulletin and you're good to go!

Here’s a perfect choice for your upcoming Good Friday church service – an advanced piano solo medley arrangement featuring the old hymn “Ah, Holy Jesus, How Hast Thou Offended” by Johann Crüger and “Behold the Lamb of God” from Händel’s Messiah oratorio. In addition to the familiar Baroque sound – characteristic of both Crüger and Händel – you will also hear modern harmonies such as unresolved suspensions, major seventh chords, or parallel fifths and octaves. A twenty-first century homage to some of the greatest music ever written, this arrangement will bring your congregation to tears as they meditate on the work of our savior on the cross. Suitable for church prelude, offertory, postlude on Good Friday or any other service when we commemorate Jesus’s work on the cross (e.g. communion). This advanced piano medley arrangement opens with John Hatton’s hymn tune “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” which is later followed by Beethoven’s famous “Ode to Joy” theme from his ninth symphony (or “Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee” as it is found in many hymnals). The blocked chords sprinkled throughout this arrangement create a celebratory atmosphere to reflect the powerful text. At the same time, there are some gentle musical moments to provide musical contrast between sections. Suitable for church prelude, offertory, or postlude on any Sunday of the year but especially on Easter Sunday to conclude Holy Week. Here's a piano medley arrangement of Thanksgiving hymn “Sing to the Lord of Harvest” combined with themes from Antonio Vivaldi’s “Autumn” violin concerto from his four seasons series. Both selections – the hymn and the violin concerto – share common themes: the autumn season, a bountiful harvest, and a celebratory atmosphere. Furthermore, the hymn also gives thanks to the source of all our blessings, God.
This piano arrangement is inspired by baroque and classical textures. The first verse, in the key of F major, is vibrant and features themes from both sources. After a direct modulation to the key of B flat major, the second verse presents a more mellow atmosphere, with the melody being played in the middle register by the left hand while the right hand plays a flowing countermelody in the higher register. As the middle section comes to an end, the Vivaldi theme resumes in the key of G minor; it will then modulate to the triumphant-sounding D major for the final verse. Suitable for church prelude, offertory, postlude especially during the thanksgiving / harvest season. CHECK OUT the score preview to determine if this piano arrangement is the right fit for you! This advanced piano arrangement is a powerful medley that weaves together two well-known tunes. The first theme you hear is “The Heavens Are Telling” from Franz Joseph Haydn’s oratorio “The Creation.” The second theme you hear is the hymn tune ELLACOMBE which has been set to several texts in our hymnals, including "I Sing the Mighty Power of God" and "Hosanna, Loud Hosanna." Throughout this piano arrangement you will hear both themes taking turns, sometimes in a full texture built on vertical harmonic pillars, other times in a thinner texture built on counterpoint. This arrangement is suitable for church prelude, offertory, postlude all year long. CHECK OUT the score preview to determine if this arrangement is the right fit for you! This advanced piano hymn arrangement features the most joyful Easter hymn (Christ the Lord Is Risen Today) combined with the most joyful classical piece (Händel’s Hallelujah Chorus from his oratorio Messiah). It is the perfect piano postlude to conclude an Easter church service at the end of Holy Week when we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Throughout the arrangement you will hear both themes interspersed; sometimes during a full presentation of Christ the Lord Is Risen Today you'll hear a subtle "Hallelujah" motif or the other way around. This is an advanced piano medley arrangement of the church hymn "Softly And Tenderly" combined with Bach's famous cantata tune "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." I combined these two melodies mainly because they're both in compound meter, which makes for seamless transitions between different phrases. But then I realized that their respective messages are also compatible! Jesus is softly and tenderly calling us back to him, and, once we return to him, he becomes the joy of our desiring. I pray that this piano arrangement will be a blessing to all who play and listen to it. It is suitable for a church prelude, offertory or postlude on any service of the year.
